Eglomise Paperweight- Molten hot soda-lime glass is poured into molds, creating all sorts of irregularities, always different and always reminiscent of glass in the late 1800's. Bubbles are commonplace as are slumps, wavy glass, and irregularly shaped rims. We dared not tamper with this look except to add a dash of color to the underside of the rim. This color is hand-applied directly to the glass in keeping with our history of eglomise painting...painting by hand on the reverse side of glass.
